The league
How is Rallyday different from a step challenge?
Unlike a traditional step challenge with one running leaderboard, Rallyday gives teams a new opponent and a fresh 0–0 start every matchday. Wins build the standings, and the top teams make the playoffs. Any team can win today.
Won’t a few highly active people decide everything?
A highly active teammate can give their team a boost, but Rallyday scores teams based on average steps per person. Everyone contributes, and every step moves the scoreboard.
How long is a season?
You can run a season for one to six weeks. We recommend four weeks of weekday matchups, with playoffs at the end. Long enough to build a story. Short enough to finish strong.
What if we have an odd number of teams?
Nobody sits out. One matchup each day includes three teams instead of two.
What do we get at the end of the season?
The champion is revealed at 9:00 AM the morning after the final, and everyone gets a season recap in the app. Full service also includes a recap call with our team.
Do we need to offer a prize?
Not at all. The competition brings plenty of excitement on its own, with wins, rivalries, and bragging rights. A prize can make the championship even more memorable. If you’d like to offer one, we’re happy to share ideas. Your company chooses the prize and awards it to the champions.
Employees
What do employees have to do?
Open the invitation, download Rallyday, sign in with a code sent to their work email, and connect Apple Health or Health Connect. From there, steps sync automatically. No password or wearable required.
Who can take part?
Anyone your company invites who is 16 or older and has an iPhone or Android phone. Participants ages 16 or 17 need permission from a parent or guardian.
Can employees see each other’s steps?
Teammates can see each other’s daily steps so they can work together toward a win. Other teams see team scores, not individual steps. Organizers can see who’s syncing, but not anyone’s step count.
Can employees join after the season starts?
Yes. You can add people until shortly before the playoffs. They start contributing once they’ve connected their steps. Previous results stay the same.
What if someone can’t compete on steps?
Taking part is always optional. If someone can’t compete using steps, your company can work with them on an alternative way to participate.
What about employees who don’t join?
Only employees who join and connect their steps count toward team scores. Teams aren’t penalized when someone opts out. With full service, we also follow up to help drive sign-ups.
Setup
Can we start with just one department?
Yes. Start with one department or group and expand later. Teams can have as few as four people. More teams also mean more variety in daily matchups.
How much work is it to run a season?
Not much. You choose the dates, set up your teams, and send the invitations. Rallyday handles the schedule, matchups, scoring, reminders, standings, and playoffs. Once the season starts, it largely runs itself.
Does IT need to get involved?
No. Rallyday doesn’t need SSO, HRIS, or other company integrations. Upload a roster and send invitations from the web console.
What data does Rallyday collect?
Names, work emails, and teams from your roster. With each employee’s permission, we read daily step totals from Apple Health or Health Connect. No location or other health data. See our privacy notice for the full details.
What if we already have a wellness platform?
Keep it. Rallyday isn’t a wellness program or part of a health plan. It’s a separate team competition powered by steps.
Pricing
How much does it cost?
Pricing is per season: $299 for up to 25 people, $499 for up to 50, $899 for up to 100, and $1,999 for up to 250. Choose any length from one to six weeks for the same price. Sales tax applies where required.
What does full service add?
We build the season from your roster, follow up on sign-ups, and host a recap call after the final. Full service adds $2,000 to the season price.
Can we get a refund?
Yes. Cancel before invitations are sent for a full refund.
What if we have more than 250 people?
Talk to us, and we’ll set up a season that fits.
